The UK Satellite Navigation challenge is open for ideas from 1st May - 31st July 2008, so SUBMIT YOUR IDEA or CONCEPT which will show how it can take advantage and use the enhancement of Location, Positioning and Timing of SATNAV, which will be created due to enhancement in SatNav and the Global Systems of GPS, EGNOS, GLONASS and Galileo.
The UK Challenge proactively works to support and develop ideas and concepts submitted by entrepreneurs (individuals) small & medium sized enterprises, institutions, research institutes as well as micro businesses, individuals and corporate business for exisitng or new applications, services or technologies which encompass the opportunities (location positioning and timing) that the Satellite Navigation networks offer.
The competition closes on 31st July at 22.59pm
To enter and submit ideas, you proceed through this internet platform. The submission process is not difficult. This year we have enhanced the system to support you through each section.
There are three mandatory sections. Each of which have to be completed and submitted
- Description,
- Markets
- Legal
There is one section which is optional. If you do not have any supporting documentation then you can leave this section blank.
- Supporting Documentation (images, diagrams etc)
We recommend you:
- Take a copy of what each section is looking to have described
- Develop your submission in a word document
- Each section can then be copied and pasted into your submission document on-line.
Remember to complete and submit each section and that your online registration document shows each section as submitted, otherwise your idea will not be complete. This will make your idea inelligible for evaluation and for the prize of UK Winner

HBIC warrant that all entries will be treated in the strictest of confidence. In addition, HBIC understand that entry into the competition will not constitute a public disclosure. However, please note that successful participants may receive publicity as part of the competition and this may constitute a public disclosure. Therefore, suitable intellectual property protection is being developed by the UK Challenge to ensure protection is put in place before this becomes an issue.
